Seriously. I don't care who you are or who the person is, you just don't do that to a woman.

Greetings!

Hey everyone, I've been slowing down recently because of school and what not. As soon as I get used to waking up early again I'll be back to posting more and more, so for now...check out this awesome story about how the Dead Sea Scrolls will soon be available on the internetz!

Olympic Hottie: Stephanie Rice

Saturday, August 16, 2008

Let's be honest the Water Cube has been dominated by Michael Phelps, the only two that can even match Phelps in popularity in there are Guo Jingjing and the following beauty 20 year old Australian golden girl Stephanie Rice. Let's be brutally honest here, it's kinda rare to find an attractive olympic swimmer, I mean after all they have to be really strong and what not, so at 5'7" and 148 lbs Stephanie Rice isn't too bad in that sense, but she has a spectacular body and a very nice smile, and her hair is something I really like about her too. Seriously though these pics that I'm about to share with you illustrate my point, specifically the last one which comes from her facebook page and will have you a bit flushed to say the least.

Alright....wait for it....wait for it.

Amazing right? YEEEEESH

Olympic Hottie: Guo Jingjing

Monday, August 11, 2008

Olympic divers are some of the most graceful athletes you'll see in the Olympics. You won't find many as beautiful as China's "diving diva" Guo Jingjing. This 27 year old beauty stands at just over 5 feet 3 inches and 105 lbs, so she's just a bit taller than an average gymnasts. She's also a multi medal winner having won two golds in Athens, she's expected to do the same in her home turf(as of the writing of this article she already has one)Guo has a very elegant beauty to me, with an enchanting skin tone it's no surprise one of her many corporate sponsorships is Avon. It's amazing how there can be such a wide spectrum of beauty at these games.

Stunning....

Beijing 2008: Olympic Hottie Jacqueline Carvlho

Saturday, August 09, 2008

It's not secret that Brazilian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world, it's also no secret that female volleyball players are also some of the most fit athletic women in the world. Combine the two and you get the stunning Jacqueline Carvalho. This 24 year old woman stands at 6'1 and an amazing 154 lbs...talk about amazon-like statistics! Also look at that smile talk about completely enchanting. Now personally I like the whole no make up-hair in a pony tail look. So I'm in awe of the picture of the left but I recognize some of you are not so below I'm gonna post some pics of Jacqueline doing her thing on the court and them some of her a bit more "made up" from a photoshoot. Viva Brazil!

Yeeeeeeesh, look at that first pic! It doesn't get much better than that...but now as promised here are the pics with more "production"

Very nice. Very nice Indeed.

Beijing 2008: Opening Ceremony

AMAZING! Seriously hats off to Beijing and all of China they had an AMAZING opening ceremony. The massive and flawless choreography of the whole thing had me in awe. The Block wave scene was especially awesome as well as the tai chi sequence, overall though it was simply incredible. The parade of athletes was pretty weird though I dunno in what sort of order they were, but the women who were in front of the nations were simply STUNNING! You know the ones in Red dresses...wow, really really pretty. Another thing I liked about the parade of athletes was the mariachi music that would come on every once in a while, viva mexico!! we're everywhere haha. The US has an impressive 600+ athlete delgation, but some of those guys(especially the basketball players) were just walking around like if they were doing nothing special. Show some pride!! Come on! You're at the friggin' olympics representing your country!! Seriously after that display if you guys don't win a gold medal you deserve to be exiled from the country or something....

The final flame lighting was impressive, Li Ning ran around the edge of the top of the stadium as a virtual scroll of paper unfurled infront of him finally ending in front the huge impressive flame cauldron where he stopped running and lit a little thing that ran the flame from where he was coiling up to light the huge impressive cauldron....oddly enough I can't find a picture of it online, well you've seen it anyway unless if you live under a rock that is...and if you live under a rock I highly doubt you'd have internet access.

Malik Yusef - "What you made me"

Thursday, July 03, 2008

Malik Yusef is a poet who is releasing a CD with Kanye's GOOD music later one this year. This particular "song" has a soulful beat consisting mostly of a choir belting out a smooth song; and talks about how the oppression of minorities has influenced the way in which we act, talk, move, dress...everything.

What kind of parent would really call the fuzz on his kid?

Kevin

Tuesday, June 24, 2008

Kevin, originally uploaded by P.S.Zollo.

Riding my bicycle along
Hollywood Boulevard today
I saw him in the crowd - noticed
him instantly. When we reached
each other, I said hi and asked
if he would mind if I took his
photo.
"You want my photo?"
Yeah, I said. There's nobody
like you.
"I know." And he smiled for me
-although his face was
evidently destroyed by something-
and his mouth reconstructed.

I asked him what happened.
"Shot," he said. "Shot in the
face." He motioned a gun
at close range being shot
directly into his face.

Andyou survived that? I asked.
"No," he said with a smile.
"I'm dead."
I apologized for what was
a stupid question, but it
was hard to fathom - gun shot-
close range - into his face. And
he lived.

So what happened? I asked.
Was it an accident, or did
someone mean to shoot you?

"I did it myself. Tried to kill
myself."

You did?
"Yeah."

Where?
"Arizona."

Phoenix?
"Tucson."

So tell me, how did it feel,
after you shot yourself in the
face - and you came to -
and realized you were not
dead?

"Agony. The worst agony
ever."

Man.
"Yeah."

What kind of gun?
"30-aught-six."

I was thunderstruck. I have
met and photographed many
people - who are featured in this
stream - humans who have
overcome amazing
adversity. Lydia, who was
burnt almost to death.
Ray, whose eye was gone.
Margaret, who weighed over
500 pounds.

But this. Man. And yet he
was smiling. I told him what
I thought:

God gives everyone a different
life - and some people get really
really hard lives.

"That's me. Doesn't get
much worse."

Told me he's on the street.
Homeless.

I asked him how bad it was
that he wanted to die.
"Bad. Really bad. The worse
kind."

Are you gonna try again?
"No. I tried once. That's enough."

Man.
Sometimes our lives
seem hard - unbearable even -
but then we meet Kevin.
Or Lydia. Or Ray. And realize
again how lucky we are.
How hard some humans
have it.
Man.

And yet
he smiled. He smiled
for me. This man with his
face blown off - by his own
hand. And here he is -
in the sunshine, listening
to music, smiling.

Don't even know what else
to say about this. Guess
I've already said it.
